There is a real family feeling to JKS Arrochar, which is the thing I love the most about training at the club. I love being part of the class alongside my daughter, seeing her progress and being part of the journey is a gift. In the beginning I joined to encourage and support her, but I am now just dedicated to my own progress. Dez Sensei is a great teacher- he is very welcoming, experienced, energetic and enthusiastic! He is very well supported by the team.

My oldest son had trained JKS karate up to green belt until COVID hit and put a stop to life. When JKS Arrochar started up he was keen to go again and so was his little brother. We all went up and it looked great fun so my wife and I decided to take part also. One of the best decisions ever! Dez Sensei, ablely assisted by Callum Sensei, Tara Sensei and Myles Sensei, not only teach us karate but also Japanese, about the culture and that karate is a way of life, not just self defence. It teaches respect and humility and helps get you fit. JKS Arrochar feels like a family and all the students support each other. If you're looking to train karate, whether a complete beginner like me or a more advanced karateka, JKS Arrochar is the place to train!

My wee one started Karate a few weeks ago. Callum Sensei has made him feel really welcome and is so patient with him.
